KENZIE ARIES IN THE PRESS

Volleyball Recruit Goes High-Tech To Sell Herself: The San Diego Union Tribune (9-4-2007) Determined to play volleyball at the next level, Aries – an All-San Diego Section Division III pick a year ago – has taken her future into her own hands, creating an elaborate Web site that showcases her talents.  “I'm just really committed to playing volleyball in college,” said Aries, who hopes she'll be able to stay in Southern California to do that. “It all would be worth it if I got to play in college.” Read the entire Kenzie Aries volleyball recruiting article.

Circle Of Trust: The Coast News 10-13-2006 The one underclassman sponging all that exudes from the seniors is junior setter MacKenzie Aries. She's like a stew, having a part of each senior's trait in her, and Harvey hopes she'll be able to pass them on before she graduates because after that they're all sophomores and freshmen. San Dieguito Mustangs CIF Playoff's: The Coast News 11-10-2006  San Dieguito Academy Mustangs - Record: 25-6

This is not the same SDA squad that limped into last year's playoffs and was easily dismissed by eventual runner-up Cathedral Catholic. This is now a team loaded with seasoned seniors poised for a Division III title run.

Led by ... junior setter MacKenzie Aries, the Mustangs won the Coastal North League title and exceeded everyone's expectations, including their own. Potent at all positions, but especially at the net, a match up in the finals with No. 1-ranked Cathedral Catholic, a young team that ran through its league with ease, is practically inevitable for the No. 2 seed Mustangs. Web Cam Aimed At Beach A Big Hit With Surfers, Beach-Goers: San Diego Union Tribune 12-16-2006.  When I was 11 years old, the San Diego Union Tribune did an article on my Beacon's Beach site.

August 12, 2001

ENCINITAS -- A few years back Kenzie Aries used to sell sodas outside her beachfront home in Leucadia. Now the 11-year-old has found something much more lucrative -- and educational.

Aries, who will be a sixth-grader at St. John's Evangelist in Encinitas, runs beaconsbeach.com, a Web site that tells you anything you'd ever want to know about Beacons Beach, which is located off Highway 101 and Neptune Avenue in Leucadia.

The site's newest feature is a Web cam. It shows live video of the beach, from 8 a.m. to sunset daily, by using a camera that is pointed out the window of the Aries' third-floor study. The video is still-framed, but refreshes every three minutes.  Read the entire Beacon's Beach article.
